Nowadays volunteering is becoming more and more popular with teenagers. Some people claim that volunteering is important for youngsters, while others disagree with this point of view. They say that volunteering is not necessary and it is a waste of time.
In this essay I would like to express my point of view on this issue. Personally, I think that volunteering plays an important role in teenagers’ lives. To begin with, volunteering is a good opportunity to find new friends because it includes tight contact with many people. Moreover, volunteering teaches how to communicate with different people and makes teenagers more communicative.
However, some people think that volunteering is not necessary for teenagers. They say that it takes a lot of time which young people can spend on things that are more important for them and their lives. I am afraid I cannot agree with this point of view because a person can combine volunteering with studies and other important parts of a teenager’s life.
Youngsters usually have enough time to do it. To sum up, I strongly believe that volunteering plays a significant role in the social development of teenagers. It is essential for young people.
